M.C. Bishop (ed): Roman Inveresk: Past,
Present and Future
ISBN 0-9539848-6-9
This fully illustrated book has its origins in a
seminar held at the National Museums of Scotland in 1999 and
jointly organised by Historic Scotland and The Society of
Antiquaries of Scotland. The various contributors describe
recent projects relating to all aspects of the study of the Roman
fort at Inveresk (East Lothian) and its environs.
Written to appeal to both those with an interest in
the Romans, as well as those passionate about Inveresk and its
past, the book shows both how little and how much we know about the
site.
