Although it may seem rather insignificant,
this tiny sherd from the rim of a Black
Burnished Ware 2 bowl has an important tale to tell. It was found amongst
the turves of the rampart of the primary fort and
dates to the mid- to late-2nd century A.D., thus providing a terminus
post quem for the construction of the primary fort.
