This is an aerial view of the officer's quarters of the Church Chare barrack block, looking towards the west. In the north-east corner room of the building, the flag floor has been lifted to reveal the rubble dump that filled the old latrine. During the 2nd and 3rd phases, the structure was divided by a central east-west partition, and one of these halves was further subdivided by a north-south partition. In the 2nd phase it was the northern half that was subdivided, in the 3rd the southern. In the 4th, the east-west partition went out of use.
