This is me and a few friends, taken in Romania on 1987 on the Joint Expedition
to the Roman Provinces of the Danube (we visited Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania,
and Yugoslavia). The photo was taken at Sarmizegetusa Regia, capital of the
Dacian King Decebalus; it can only be reached by off-road vehicle, hence
the presence of Gertrude (gone but not forgotten). My companions are (from
left to right) Bill Griffiths, Peter Guest, Jon Coulston,
Hazel Dodge, and Liviu Petculescu.
It was hardly worth downloading, was it? But you would insist!
